I love playing with and creating digital art. That’s Serendipity’s background and header image were created in Photoshop Elements from a mix of my own 3d Poser 7 renders and licensed digital resources by Lucie Grenier, Susan McKivergan and Dana Sitarzewski.
I remember my nan’s garden as always having ladybugs. A wonderful variety of reds, oranges and yellows. I was always fascinated and drawn by their bright colours and the ever changing array of black patterns and dots. Unique, with no two ever alike.
Nan often told me that if a butterfly (flutterbys, as I usually refer to them) or a ladybug were to alight on you, it was a sign of ‘blessings’ and that good things would soon be sure to follow. Even now at 42yrs of age, I still carry this belief with me.
Butterflies are beautiful, magical creatures. For me they have always represented emotional/spiritual freedom, transformations and new beginnings. There are few things more relaxing for the soul than seeing a butterfly as it goes about it’s daily butterfly business. Their seemingly carefree attitudes with wings kissed by sunlight as they dance from flower to flower to sip at sweetly perfumed necters, whilst being softly buffeted about by a barely whispering breeze. It’s a sight I will never tire of.
Butterflies symbolic of transformations and new beginnings. Ladybugs for their blessings and uniqueness along with special significance for remembrance of a beautiful girl Imogen, who, together with her family, have touched the hearts and lives of so many people and continue to do so.
Enjoy your day!
