FINALLY after waiting for what seemed a lifetime and a day, we were able to welcome our latest member of the family, home.
He is such a cutie! An 8wk old Boston Terrier pup that has the biggest n widest googly eyes. We are still trying to decide on a name atm. I thought he should be named Bobblehead however I got out voted on that :-((
We’ve been wanting to get a puppy for the past couple of years, however with things being so all over the place with the Cherub and her emotional challenges, we had decided to hold off on it until things were on a bit more of an even keel.
I must say, the change in Cherub’s overall general mood and attitude since having started on the antidepressant medication is a huge turnaround to how she was a couple of months ago. There are still problems there, however quite a few of these now seem to come down to behavioral patterns that have been fallen into over a period of time and these can be worked on. No longer does she mope around the house 24/7 in an angry, depressed and vile mood, taking it out on anyone and everyone, with a need to make all those in her presence miserable as well. Sure, she still has ‘bad hair’ days, however for the most part, those dark times are milder and shorter in length than what they used to be. There has never been any question as to whether I love our daughter.. however now, after a very long time, I am also liking her and appreciating her company again.
She’s absolutely over the moon too with having got the puppy and has been showing responsibility for the care of it (will see if the novelty has worn off in another few weeks!).

He is a cutie all the way, specially when he puts on 'the look' when he wants something! I have to try and get some better pics. I'm real hit and miss with a camera in relation to the quality of the photos.I thought we had settled on the name Knucklehead, but we changed our minds and we have collectively agreed on the name Darwin for him :-)))))

Oh the puppy is adorable! That's great that she's showing responsibility and the medication is seeming to help.

He's a terror but sooo funny. Today he was downstairs and a neighbours dog was barking and every so often he would chime in with the funniest noise (not loud) but like he was trying to reply with/mimic 'human' conversation. Between the Google Summit and the Child everything has been a complete whirlwind the past few months :-SWhimsxxxx
