As the title states.. What a Week!
Our daughter finally started the 30 day intensive outpatient program we were waiting for her to be accepted into.
Its been a pretty stressful few days. Her placement at the program was very nearly withdrawn by the program due to her refusal to attend for the first two days. Amongst many tears, tantrums and other rather distressing behaviours, my husband and I stuck to our guns and continued to encourage attendance and managed to get her there for at least a couple of hours on each of those days … and finally break through!
We are only four days in so far and I suspect there will probably be more hiccups along the way, but hey! its a start!
Hopefully in another two weeks we will have a complete assessment/diagnosis and recommendations as to what sort of school environment/situation will be suitable for her.
As some (most?) of you are aware, I’m a pretty geeky gal in general. Last year I was invited to join the Google Analytics Help Forum as a Top Contributor. This was completely unexpected and a huge honor for me. Since then I have gone on to complete (and pass) the GAIQ exam and you can find me on the GA forum most days, helping people out with their general google analytics questions and problems.
ATM I am totally jazzed as due to my participation as a Top Contributor, myself (together with all the other amazing people that are TC’s that freely share their knowledge and volunteer their time on the user forums for the myriad of google services and products) @ Google’s invite, we are off to California for two days in Sept to attend the 2011 TC Summit that Google is hosting.
I cant wait, roll on Sept!!! :-)))))))))
