EEEeek Easter in a week! We’re getting ready to dye eggs here and I spied a full leg of lamb stashed in the freezer. From what I can work out I think Hubby has plans to make some kind of fire pit in the back yard to cook it in (things like this come under “Secret Mens Business”)
This year seems to be charging ahead at full speed towards 2012!
We are heading into Spring on this side of the world, and the thought of summer arriving on it’s heels had me thinking about my childhood.
Do you remember when you were a kid and a year seemed like an eternity?
I remember when it would seem that each school term would last a lifetime until the next school break. Walking home on hot summer afternoons with the remains of what had been a frozen cordial in a plastic drink bottle that mum would have packed for me that morning. Going to the public pool at Cabarita on a weekend. Listening to ABBA and Leif Garrett.
Easter for me is memories of attending sunday school, making little baskets out of paper to put eggs in to give to friends, the smell of fresh hot cross buns from the local bakery and seeing family that we didn’t often see throughout the year.
What fav childhood memories do you have of Summer and/or Easter?
Before I forget … today’s freebie is a set of Alphas. 26 uppercase and 26 lowercase letters with a pretty pastel decorative easter egg pattern, rendered at 300dpi
Enjoy and have a creative day!
